Marginalisation in Malaysia
Malay community in Penang marginalised:
Penang UMNO Youth wanted a rotation of Penang Chief Minister's post. Anti-Koh Tsu Koon banner were put up at the Umno Tanjung meeting attended by the Prime Minister.
Chinese community in Malaysia systematically marginalised:
PM Abdullah said "we do not marginalise anyone in the implementation of our programmes". “I’m at a loss as to what his intention is. It is a very dangerous statement”, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar. And Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar said in Parliament that "none of the 180 schools planned under the 9th Malaysia Plan (9MP) were Chinese or Tamil schools".
