* Chaos hit the Kuala Lumpur Hospital's morgue as two parties were adamant that they had the sole right to the body of one Rayappan Anthony, 71, who died at the hospital. Rayappan's family members claimed that he was a Christian while the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) said that he was a Muslim. The argument had been going on at the morgue's compound.

* Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has rejected the plea of the Chinese students to revive the Chinese Language Society at UPM. The Chinese Language Society in UPM has been banned for over 24 years.

* The president of the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) Zainal Abidin Azim has said that "spending RM40,000 on a seminar for 50 people is peanuts. The trip is aimed at fostering good ties".
