Khir Toyo wanted to "teach" the rakyat

The common people in Malaysia's "most developed" state of Selangor will have to fork out extra money when they settle their utility bills after the Aidilfitri holidays. The Cabinet led by PM Abdullah has approved a 15% increment in the water tariff.

In a press conference, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd. Khir bin Toyo said:
"The new tariff is to teach the people not to waste the water. We have to discipline the people".

The people are already being burdened with the high fuel price, electricity tariff, groceries and other services. At the same time, both state and local authorities are spending millions of ringgit to build large ugly useless monuments. Don't you think that it is high time to "teach" back the Menteri Besar and his cronies who disregard and act above the law?
