A mere PR exercise for Abdullah and his team?
It could be a biased opinion, but what else that could explained Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's 1-day visit to the flooded districts in Johor?
By the time the mainstream media front-paged Abdullah's visit, the sleepy premier was already holidaying in Perth, Australia. More importantly, his UMNO leaders from the affected state of Johor were nowhere to be found in the country as well. It did not matter if over 80,000 people were displaced or a dozen victims died in the floods, Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar and others like Khaled Nordin were obviously missing.
Thus, was Abdullah's single-day visit to Johor a mere PR exercise for his cruel government?
